How It Works
Unlike traditional raking with standard lock picks, a snap gun uses energy transfer to bypass pin tumbler locks. When you pull the trigger, the needle strikes all the bottom pins simultaneously. Kinetic energy travels up through the pin stack, briefly ejecting the driver pins above the shear line and into the housing. During this split-second window, light rotational pressure from the tension wrench allows the plug to turn and the lock to open.
